Lynton’s IPL, or Intense Pulse Light, technology is widely used by dermatologists to treat a range of concerns: from pigmented lesions to thread veins, acne and skin rejuvenation. As we age, we can notice not only lines and wrinkles but also the noticeable discolouration of our skin through various factors.
Sun damage can cause patches of darker pigmentation in areas frequently exposed to the sun, and areas of redness and thread veins can appear (most commonly around the nose, cheeks and chin).
IPL is a flashlamp-driven technology.
It uses an intensely bright light, to selectively heat and eliminate certain targets within the skin, to achieve a clearer, “airbrushed” complexion by dramatically reducing blemishes and signs of ageing.
The Lynton Group is a world-leading, British-based manufacturer and supplier of aesthetic, surgical and conservation lasers.
Lynton has won numerous awards globally for the quality of its’ equipment.
This success has all contributed to Lynton being the chosen supplier on the NHS Supply Chain.
At least 1 week prior to your IPL appointment you will attend a thorough consultation, at which time we will consider your skin type and concerns and make sure that you are medically suited to the treatment.
We will then carry out a small patch test on the treatment area. During the treatment, you will be asked to wear protective eyewear.
A cool gel will be applied to the skin. The light applicator is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released.
The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated.
A noticeable improvement can be seen after the first treatment, however, between 1 – 3 sessions are usually required to achieve the desired result.
At Richmond House Beauty just as much importance is placed on surroundings, comfort and client experience as is given to delivering exceptional treatments.
We are constantly striving to exceed your expectations at every stage in your salon experience, from the moment you book your appointment to post-treatment follow-up.
