Our injectables and facial aesthetics treatments

Anti-wrinkle treatments

There are several different treatments (skin care, microneedling, and injectables including Botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and Profhilo) to reduce the signs of ageing such as wrinkles, and a free consultation is the most effective way to determine which is right for you.

Skin care treatments include retinol and tretinoin.

Botox injections relax facial muscles so that existing lines are softened, and new lines are prevented, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers can also be used to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles including frown lines, nose-to-mouth lines, wrinkles around the mouth, etc.

Treatment can be undertaken after a consultation during the same appointment, or at a later date.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gels that can be injected into the face to add volume, lift, improve the appearance of skin, enhance lip shape, and minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

They are made of hyaluronic acid which attracts and binds water, providing volume, hydration and support for surrounding structures.

Dermal filler treatment can restore youthful plumpness of the face and enhance natural features.

Areas of the face that can be treated with dermal filler include under the eyes (tear trough), cheeks, nose-to-mouth lines, lips, jawline, and chin.

Profhilo

Profhilo is a skin remodelling treatment that stimulated collagen and elastin production through the slow release of hyaluronic acid.

It improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help increase skin hydration, and firmness, and improves the elasticity of skin resulting in a younger, healthier appearance.

It is perfect for individuals seeking treatment for crêpey skin or fine lines under the eyes, wrinkles around the mouth, overall dry or lax skin, crêpey skin on the neck, and those wishing to subtly plump out their skin without using dermal fillers.

Injectables & Facial Aesthetics FAQs

Who can have aesthetic treatments?

Apart from one or two medical conditions, drug allergies, medications, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, most people are suitable for aesthetic treatments.

A thorough consultation with Dr Charlotte is undertaken before each treatment to ensure that you are having the most appropriate treatment to address your concern and that it is safe to perform.

Each treatment is individually priced and this is discussed during your consultation to ensure that you are aware of the cost before treatment is started.

Often a treatment plan is created to help you achieve your desired results over time, spreading the cost of treatment and optimising the effects. Please enquire about prices.

Some treatments are more uncomfortable than others but the smallest possible needles for each treatment are used to ensure maximum comfort and minimum pain, bruising and redness.

Anti-wrinkle injection needles are very fine indeed, and numbing cream containing a local anaesthetic is applied before dermal filler and Profhilo treatment.

Some dermal filler treatment can also be performed using a cannula, a very fine plastic tube, so there is just one injection involved, significantly reducing any associated pain as well as minimising the risk of bruising.

Depending on what treatment you have, your skin type, medications you are on, hormone levels, etc, any side effects and associated downtime will vary from person to person.

Each treatment has slightly different side effects and recovery time but these will be discussed with you during your consultation.
